(Sacramento) – California State Assemblymember Jim Wood (D-Healdsburg) adjourned the Assembly in the memory of Private First Class John Saini of Sonoma County. PFC Saini was a Marine who died in battle during World War II. PFC Saini, along with other military members who gave their lives, was buried hastily on small Japanese Islet. Some of the battlefield graves were left undiscovered until recently.
