Wood Legislation Seeks to Address Opioid Epidemic

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Jim Wood (D-Healdsburg) recognizes that the abuse of opioid medications has steadily increased in the past decade and we are now facing a crisis. That’s one reason why he authored Assembly Bill 715, which calls on California Department of Public Health to develop statewide opioid prescribing guidelines for acute pain.
